Joy Walker Things Change

MKG127 is pleased to present Things Change,
an exhibition of new work by Toronto-based artist Joy Walker.

October 19 - November 16, 2013

In Things Change, Walker continues her exploration of line, geometry and pattern. She begins with a set of formal structures and introduces an element of chance as a creative tool. The works in Things Change are rooted in her interest in process and share an approach that links drawing and sculpture.

Joy Walker is a Toronto-based artist, textile designer and sometimes curator. Her concurrent exhibitions include, Fade to Black, a solo exhibition at Rodman Hall, St. Catharines, ON, until Jan 5, 2014, and two group shows: Between The Lines, at Harbourfront Centre, Toronto, until Dec 29, 2013, and More Than Two (Let It Make Itself), at The Power Plant, Toronto until Jan 5, 2014. Walker's work is included in several private and public collections. This is her third solo exhibition at MKG127.

MKG127 is located in Toronto at 1445 Dundas St. West between Dufferin St. and Gladstone Ave. on the south side. Hours are Wednesday to Saturday from 12 to 6 PM or by appointment. For more information call 647-435-7682.
