Liza Eurich It Exists In The Cut

MKG127 is very pleased to present It Exists In the Cut,
an exhibition of new work by London, Ontario based artist, Liza Eurich.

April 20 - May 19, 2012

It Exists in the Cut considers the generative potential of mechanisms associated with process. Rather than being situated within a narrative of iteration or accumulation, this work involves a distilled gesture of halving or doubling. Further, positioning similar to that of a constellation, allows meaning to arise through a referential process, according to the proximity and orientation of each piece. The result is a multitude of smaller opaque points that function as a means of extending perception.

Liza Eurich received her BA in English literature from the Simon Fraser University, her BFA in general fine arts from the Emily Carr University, and is currently completing her MFA at The University of Western Ontario. She has interned for the contemporary art magazine Fillip and was a regional winner of the BMO 1st art award in 2010. Recent work has been shown at the Museum of Contemporary Canadian Art in Toronto, Parker Branch in London, Plug-In ICA in Winnipeg and will be included in an upcoming exhibition at Neutral Ground in Regina.

MKG127 is located in Toronto at 1445 Dundas St. West between Dufferin St. and Gladstone Ave.

Hours are Wednesday to Saturday from 12 to 6 PM or by appointment. For more information call 647-435-7682.
